Invictus: Purpose, Presence, Passion in a New Medical Era

October 7th- October 8th

What is RMEC?

Region VII welcomes you to our annual Regional Medical Education Conference (RMEC).  The theme of the year is "Invictus: Purpose, Presence, Passion in a New Medical Era". This event is an opportunity for our region to come together in a day of workshops and learning. We welcome medical students and premedical students.

This year's RMEC will be held at the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University in North Haven, CT. Throughout the day, there will be speakers, workshops, and so much more. We will address issues affecting physicians of color such as Redefining passion in medicine in the midst of burnout and developing purpose and identity in medicine.

We will also discuss how to better serve marginalized communities, including racial minorities, healthcare policy, as well as taking care of ourselves while doing it. Our conference will also offer general programs such as a Research Symposium, Suturing Workshop, and CPR simulation.

Please join us for a day of construction and leadership as we continue to build ourselves as activists in SNMA.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
