What is RMEC?

new-physician-hero.jpg

Region VII welcomes you to our annual Regional Medical Education Conference (RMEC). The theme of the year is "Uplifting Voices: Diversity in Medicine." This event is an opportunity for our region to come together in a day of workshops and learning. We welcome medical students and premedical students.

This year's RMEC will be held at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont in Burlington, VT. Throughout the day, there will be speakers, workshops, and so much more. We will address issues affecting physicians of color such as Redefining passion in medicine in the midst of burnout and developing purpose and identity in medicine. We will also discuss how to better serve marginalized communities, including racial minorities, healthcare policy, as well as taking care of ourselves while doing it.

Join us for a day of construction and leadership as we continue to build ourselves as activists in SNMA.
